So, Mr. President, at approximately a quarter to 6 on Monday, the Senate will proceed to a cloture vote on the motion to concur with respect to H.R. 1586, the legislative vehicle for FMAP and teacher funding. Next week we have a lot of work to accomplish. In addition to the FMAP and education funding, we need to consider an energy bill, the nomination of Elena Kagan to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, and there are other matters we are going to try to clear for action on the legislative and Executive Calendars. We feel hopeful we can complete business on the Small Business Administration legislation we have spent so much time on early next week. ____________________
