Mr. President, I would like to announce for the information of the Senate and the public that the hearing scheduled before the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources previously announced for May 6, 2010, at 9:30 a.m., has been rescheduled and will now be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at 10 a.m., in room SR-325 of the Russell Senate Office Building. The purpose of the hearing is to review issues related to deepwater offshore exploration for petroleum and the accident in the Gulf of Mexico involving the offshore oil rig Deepwater Horizon.
