As a Dine citizen, I strongly support the 2023 public land order from the DOI to administratively withdraw federal lands in an approximate 10-mile withdrawal area surrounding the Chaco National Historical Park and its outliers for a 20-year term.
We understood it to be congressional intent for this funding to go to the Presidio, which is public lands.
We urge the subcommittee to establish permanent and recurring funds for Tribal Courts within BIA's Public Safety and Justice account.
