I recognize that Section 230 is the bedrock of our modern-day internet, but Congress has a responsibility to ensure that these legal protections are functioning as intended.
The Affordable Connectivity Program, or ACP, is established by the bipartisan Infrastructure Law to provide assistance to eligible households to help them afford internet services.
I urge this committee to prioritize the safety and well-being of our communities, including the investments that we have put in improving public transit.
While I disapprove of these misguided proposals, I remain committed to working with my Republican colleagues to find opportunities to actually deliver affordable, reliable, and domestically produced energy to the American people.
