By virtue of the authority vested in me by section 1 of the act of July 27, 1950, 64 Stat. 379, as amended by section 2 of the act of September 27, 1950, 64 Stat. 1074, and by section 2 of the 1951 Amendments to the Universal Military Training and Service Act, 65 Stat. 88 (Public Law 51, 82nd Congress, approved June 19, 1951), and as President of the United States and Commander in Chief of the armed forces of the United States, I hereby extend for a period of twelve months all enlistments (except enlistments pursuant to section 4 (c) (1) of the Universal Military Training and Service Act, as amended) in any component of the Army, the United States Navy, and the United States Marine Corps, including the Naval Reserve and the Marine Corps Reserve, in any component of the Air Force of the United States, and the United States Coast Guard, including the Coast Guard Reserve, which shall expire after July 8, 1951, and prior to July 1, 1952, and which have not been extended heretofore for twelve months by Executive Order No. 10145 of July 27, 1950, and by Executive Order No. 10164 of September 27, 1950.
