I want to express my thanks to all of you-particularly to your chairman, Mr. Geneen, for the effort that he has made--and all of you have made this year.
Never has there been any question in my mind, President Eisenhower said recently, as to the necessity of a program of economic and military aid to keep the free nations of the world from being overrun by the Communists.
Dear Mr. Chancellor: The news that it has been possible to rescue more of the miners who were trapped underground in the disaster at the Mathilde Mine in Lengede has been received with relief in America.
I hope this kind of intimate association, cooperation for the benefit of all of our people, may be extended to other fields.
