Barack Obama actually said...
the president needs to call people together and decide this with dispatch, so that he can move on to other things, and people can understand this is a president who does take in a lot of things into consideration, but, at the end of the day, he's willing to decide not to be buffeted, not to be drawn in by political forces, but decide where he stands on a matter of principle, and execute it.
