Mr. Speaker, I move to suspend the rules and pass the bill (H.R. 1769) to expand the Alpine Lakes Wilderness in the State of Washington, to designate the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River and Pratt River as wild and scenic rivers, and for other purposes, as amended. The text of the bill is as follows: H.R. 1769 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Alpine Lakes Wilderness Additions and Pratt and Middle Fork Snoqualmie Rivers Protection Act''. SEC. 2. EXPANSION OF ALPINE LAKES WILDERNESS. (a) In General.--There is designated as wilderness and as a component of the National Wilderness Preservation System certain Federal land in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in the State of Washington comprising approximately 22,173 acres that is within the Proposed Alpine Lakes Wilderness Additions Boundary, as generally depicted on the map entitled ``Proposed Alpine Lakes Wilderness Additions'' and dated December 3, 2009, which is incorporated in and shall be considered to be a part of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.
