In my opinion we owe the American taxpayers better than to see their money demonstrably wasted in the tax, and the American traveler better protection than the proven ineffective techniques and technologies employed by the TSA.

I just want to remark to my dear friend, good friend, my coworker on our Oversight Committee, that as he stated in his remarks, it has been something I have been very concerned about and I am extremely concerned just like my friend, Mr. Maffei, is about this very issue.
I think this administration is inviting these kids, inviting illegal aliens to come to this country, and is--wants to give them legal status, and I find that intolerable.
Let me assure my friend, Mr. Maffei, that the staff on this side have been very, very diligent in trying to get this written testimony approved.
