I don't think right-wing social engineering is any more desirable than left-wing social engineering. I don't think imposing radical change from the right or left is a very good way for a free society to operate.

I can't imagine a dumber moment to increase federal spending than in the middle of an inflationary crisis.
I really am very worried that if he plays a clever parliamentary game it may look good inside the senate but it could cost us two senate seats and control of the senate. So I would beg him to bring up the $2,000 payment as a free standing, independent vote.
