I think people are very concerned when you start talking about cost controls, that a bureaucracy, we don't -- you're asking us to trust the government. We know people who said routinely, you're going to have to make decisions. You'll have to decide. Communal standards, historically, is a very dangerous concept.

I really am very worried that if he plays a clever parliamentary game it may look good inside the senate but it could cost us two senate seats and control of the senate. So I would beg him to bring up the $2,000 payment as a free standing, independent vote.
Now, if it`s real --if it`s -- first of all, it`s really tight, they`ll steal it. So, you can`t afford to have a really tight election. You have to win by big enough margin they can`t steal it.
The greatest problem Washington has today is its inability to learn what works and what fails in the real world.
