Madam Speaker, I rise today to oppose the Republicans' cynical attempt to replace the health care reform law. Yesterday's decision to repeal the Affordable Care Act was truly damaging to the American people, but today's decision to tout the central reforms of the Affordable Care Act as Republican ideas is simply baffling. If the provisions in H. Res. 9 were really the Republicans' priorities, they would leave the Affordable Care Act intact because all of these provisions exist in the current law.
