It cost Europe hundreds of thousands of jobs and made virtually no change or effect whatsoever on their environment. Estimates are that if Washington forces this bill on the American public, it will kill more than 2.5 million more American jobs. Fortunately, the national energy tax is now stalled in the Senate, and I sure hope it stays there.
