I think the consensus around innovation, American leadership, things like the example I just gave you that would probably save lots of lives in Hawaii or California or elsewhere, I think that is part of the reason why things are moving forward.
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill that I mentioned, which was signed into law by the President almost exactly 2 years ago provides over $55 billion for drinking water and wastewater infrastructure.
The law repealed a burdensome pre-funding mandate for postal workers retiree benefits.
I am also proud of the committee's work to improve wastewater infrastructure for communities large and small, especially underserved communities.
