Telehealth is especially important for veterans who live in rural or highly rural areas like many of the veterans in my district. According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, there are 2.8 million rural veterans who are enrolled in and rely on VA healthcare systems. However, these veterans often face challenges in accessing timely and quality care due to provider shortages, limited facilities, and geographical isolation. These challenges can result in poor health outcomes, such as higher rates of chronic diseases, mental health issues, and, unfortunately, even suicide.…”
