Madam President, reserving the right to object, I have no problem with either nomination. I understand they are in the process of being cleared by other Members. I believe that, while I have no specific problem, we want to allow all Senators to sign off before consent is granted. Last week, I objected to some of the nominations to allow the two leaders to work their clearance process on the Executive Calendar. I understand that the two leaders worked to confirm four U.S. attorneys later today. Under the circumstances, as to the specific request of my colleague, I object. The PRESIDING OFFICER. Objection is heard. Mrs. McCASKILL. Madam President, if I could inquire of the Senator from Arizona for the purpose of making a clear record.
