Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary accomplishments of various student members of Arkansas' Future Farmers of America. As their Congressman and as a past State FFA president, I am very proud of their achievements. During the 88th National FFA Convention, Hermitage High School students were announced as the winning team of the National FFA Livestock Evaluation Event. Ms. Taylor McNeel, an agricultural business major at Southern Arkansas University, was also named the 2015-2016 National FFA president. As president, Ms. McNeel will travel more than 100,000 miles to further the FFA mission of advancing agricultural literacy and preparing future generations for the challenges of feeding a growing population. I congratulate these Fourth District students and applaud their inspiring efforts to serve others and hold true to the best traditions of our national life. ____________________
