The Violence Against Women Act is working, but the job is not done.

I want to assure you that as we go forward in Washington on these issues, that we will be in close touch with you.

I hear from Rhode Islanders through letters and e-mail all the time on a wide variety of topics.

So what I think I will do is just briefly adjourn the hearing to allow that disruption to proceed.
