I was concerned, in talking to folks--the staff at the White Mountain National Forest--to learn that their actual funding for last year was down 15 percent.

I think it's important, and what I'm hoping you're going to tell me is that you appreciate the differences between our forests in the East and the forests in the West.

I would hope that we're not going to have a policy in Washington that comes in and supersedes what has been carefully put together by the local folks in New Hampshire.

I think it's very important that we integrate women's issues, this commitment to empowering women, more fully into all of our foreign policy.

Finally, one of the things that is a big issue in New Hampshire, because we have a higher-than-usual percentage of individual dwellings, both homes and commercial buildings--and so, our energy costs are very high.

What more can we do to help businesses like Warner Power and some of the other small- and medium-sized businesses to commercialize those technologies that they're working on?

I believe FERC is taking it up and plans to resolve it.
