There is a growing humanitarian, National security, and illegal immigration crisis at the Southwest Border.

This effort to defund border security is an attack on law enforcement.

I encourage my colleagues to set aside their hatred for President Trump and work to address the crisis at the border.

Budgets for border security should be determined based upon the actual needs as expressed by the law enforcement professionals on the ground.

I believe we face a cultural crisis in our country, and one of the major impacts of that crisis is an opioid challenge.
