I think it is duplicative and it does not make sense.

I think all of us feel that doing the longer term reauthorization would be the right thing to do for certainty in planning and communities.

I just want to commend to my colleagues the notion that when these were being designed, they actually brought in women veterans, worked very, very closely particularly around I would say sort of mental health and level of comfort issues.

I have worked with the chair on her concerns on military sexual trauma and I just wanted to follow-up with all of you about the availability of care for sexual assault survivors and what more we could be doing.

I want to thank the chair for her leadership on the military sexual assault issue and we continue to work on this as a bipartisan issue and one that men and women on both sides of the aisle care a great deal about.

I am very excited that you are talking about a comprehensive energy bill that is going to start with energy efficiency because it is, as you both said so eloquently, the cheapest, fastest way to deal with our energy needs.

This is legislation that I sometimes call Shaheen/Portman. He calls it Portman/Shaheen.

But whatever you want to call it, it is a big step toward a smart, energy policy for this country.

I come from the proud State of New Hampshire, the Live Free or Die State, and one of the things that we, I think, put a premium on in our State is privacy and issues of personal protection.

I think Precheck is a great program, but we need to make sure that this program is managed carefully on the inclusion issue.
