this Committee actually reported out a bill, S. 742, which ensures that Federal employees that defraud the government, commit felonies or other serious misconduct, are not paid bonuses.

I am hopeful that the Senate will take up this bill, because it makes so much common sense.

But, it seems to me that this is something we need across government, and one of the issues that I have been very concerned about is that when we are not able to hold employees accountable for misconduct, it demoralizes the good employees…
