I very much appreciate your holding this hearing, and I look forward to working with you and Ranking Member Smith on this very important legislation.

I would like to see some more information on that.

I was happy to see yesterday your Web site and some of your comments this morning about more transparency.

If I understand you correctly, you are saying these banks that through the potential of falling below their minimum capital requirements will require some additional infusion.

So the bank will be----

I would hope that you would look at those States who have maybe gone before.

I think one of the greatest embarrassments in the United States of America is the fact that we have an air traffic control system which is analog.

I do want to start with you, Dr. Holdren, though.

I support that.

What is critically important to Virginia and the surrounding States is the health of the Chesapeake Bay.

I look forward to working together to ensure that the National Climate Service serves an important function in providing key climate information.

What I am saying to you is that we have a President now who seems to be enormously interested in technology and efficiency.

I look forward to working with you to guide an agenda that focuses on clean energy and climate technology.

This is something we have done in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Mr. Chairman, I am happy to be on the Committee. I do not know if this shows that I drew the long straw or the short straw, but I am happy to be here.

I want to add my voice as well and say thank you for calling this hearing and echoing both what you and Senator Bennett have said.

They have risk, and hopefully we are going to, at the end of the day, come out relatively close to whole.
