Yes, I did, and he has been watching this very closely. He expressed his condolences for our community and for the victims and their families.

At the hospital meeting with victims of a mass shooting when I get pulled away to be briefed about another shooting. This time in Half Moon Bay. Tragedy upon tragedy.

So we still have to come together. We have to make sure that people know that they are safe, that they know that this gunman is no longer a threat, and that we move together as a community. Together, we are stronger.

It's been reported that the President's Homeland Security Adviser has briefed the President, and the President has said that federal law enforcement will provide all necessary assistance, to the local law enforcement effort.

And I pray that leadership, that Kevin McCarthy finds that last ounce of dignity and does the right thing.
