And my question has to do with the Russian military development and the recent revelation/realization that, in 2018, Russian defense spending actually went down.

Across the U.S., there are nearly 30 million small businesses supporting almost 59 million jobs.

Small firms account for 99.6 percent of my state employers.

I hope that the members give special attention to the needs of our multi-modal transportation.

I look forward to working with each of you all on each of these issues.

Our goal in Congress must be to support and grow these systems, but it cannot be at the expense of equity and access.

Increasing the amount and access to modes of public transportation must be part of this conversation.

I think that these are incredibly important programs in our community.

Budgets are important, and quite frankly, certainly I support Job Corps and those types of things.

But we do know that there are instances where businesses are employing automation to replace workers in jobs that were traditionally done by humans.

I hope we can find a way of better tracking that.

I hope that we can look at ways to continue that investment.

This bipartisan victory demonstrated Congress' renewed commitment to skills-based education in high-demand industries.

I just would respectfully request that you include the following in any infrastructure legislation: a stipulation that States devote a portion of infrastructure funds they receive to workforce development programs.

This program is critical in rural America and has provided links to hub airports in over 175 locations throughout the United States and its territories that would otherwise lack commercial air service.
