I have a friend who did over 30 years at United Airlines as a captain, and, you know, pilots talk.

I think that would be a disaster in the making.

Have you changed that now so that it reflects more in terms of what your need is?

This resolution will send a clear signal to the region that the United States continues to stand firmly on the side of the rule of law.

Amendment in the nature of a substitute to H. Res. 187 offered by the Honorable Karen Bass, a Representative in Congress from the State of California.

I am also glad to see the Subcommittee consider the Veterans Access to Child Care Act, which I introduced with my colleague, Congressman Higgins.

I hope that VA can provide a better estimate of the necessary resources for his program and some better data on whether lack of child care is creating a barrier for woman veterans to access care at VA facilities.

I am pleased that two of my bills that will help our women veterans are being considered today: H.R. 91, the Building Supportive Networks for Women Veterans Act, and H.R. 95, the Veterans Access to Child Care Act.

I want to thank my colleagues here today who have introduced legislation intended to improve the lives of veterans and their families.

The State Department, USAID, Millennium Challenge Corporation, and other development agencies are critical to preventing conflict and reducing the need to put our men and women in uniform in harm's way.

These cuts are a problem. They are dangerous.

Will members of this committee stand up to these draconian cuts?

And the President believes we are not doing it intensely enough.

President Trump's Skinny Budget would completely do away with the funding for the Corporation for National and Community Service.

I am particularly disturbed when I read that the program might face severe cuts.
