I understand how mad everybody is about this AIG bonus business. I understand that, as I said before, I'm mad. And even though I didn't draw up these AIG contracts, my White House didn't, it's my responsibility to fix the system.

I say our challenges are too big to ignore.

Most of the stuff that got us into trouble was perfectly legal.

The national security of both Russia and the United States will suffer if the world experiences a breakdown of the nonproliferation regime.

I support efforts to negotiate lower United States and Russian nuclear weapons levels, to reduce Russia's tactical nuclear weapon stockpile.

The United States must boost its presence in the Arctic.

An offer to scrap our missile defense plans just because the Russians offer 'help' does not seem like such a good deal.

I'm skeptical of quid pro quo deals of this kind. Successful diplomacy rarely involves trades of completely unrelated issues.

Russian internal political developments have definitely been going in the wrong direction for some time now.

Unless the United States and Russia provide strong leadership in this area, the coming surge in demand for nuclear power will lead more and more nations to seek their own enrichment facilities.

Everybody's got an opinion.

Now, there are those who say these plans are too ambitious. We should be trying to do less and not more.

We are not only going to make it through this crisis, we are going to come out on the other side a stronger and more prosperous nation.

Sudan is a priority for this administration, particularly at a time when it cries out for peace and for justice.

This legislation will help create new opportunities for millions of Americans to serve their communities.
