I am very, very troubled by your comments on AIG and our obligation to maintain the 100 cents on the dollar in the counterparties.

I think we could get it through very quickly.

We all acknowledge, we are in the 100-year flood.

But my hope would be that there are other options, other than simply selling them back to the institution.

The future of the Post Office is at stake.

We have to create a business model for the Post Office that is viable.

The future is not going to look like the past with respect to postal services.

Can you tell us what participation there was by FBI agents in enhanced interrogation techniques that everybody in the world, other than a few people in the last Administration, viewed as torture?

We have legislation on the way to the President that would authorize additional funding.

We just recently passed legislation that would give you resources to hire additional agents to address financial fraud.

Can I get your commitment that you will take a closer look at this program and evaluate it on its merits and success?

Any study must have limited, achievable objectives to avoid becoming swamped in unmanageable data, a caution well applied to congressional studies.

This is, I think, a very, very important effort as we go forth with trying to make sure we know what the PME system needs to provide and the JPME system needs to provide to our men and women in uniform.

We championed broadband and telework policies that brought good jobs to our more rural communities.

As somebody who has spent 20 years in the telecom sector before I also made the transition to government, I can't think of a more critical position than yours.

I will echo your comments that he has been able to negotiate those waters and move us forward as a region.
