Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate proceed to the immediate consideration of S.J. Res. 33, a joint resolution providing for the reconsideration and revision of the proposed Constitution of the U.S. Virgin Islands to correct provisions inconsistent with the Constitution and Federal law, introduced earlier today. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the joint resolution by title. The legislative clerk read as follows: A joint resolution (S.J. Res. 33) to provide for the reconsideration and revision of the proposed constitution of the United States Virgin Islands to correct provisions inconsistent with the Constitution and Federal law. There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the joint resolution.
